The question you're afraid to admit asking yourself as you walk past those tabloid front pages in the shop each morning, glancing quickly as you go...

... "Is Jade Goody dead yet?"

I have resolved to read nothing more about her until she is. Or until something of else of substance actually happens to her, like a miraculous recovery. If she's excreting a dead hedgehog on live TV, I don't want to know.

Still happy with that link?

@"Anon": Whilst the updated message on the site is potentially more offensive than the previous one, it doesn't make my original point any less valid. Whether they would be brave enough to admit it, loads of people were keeping an eye on the media coverage of Goody's declining health because every day they were wondering if she'd died, for exactly the same reason that cars slow down to look at serious road accidents on the motorway. Morbid curiosity is a common human trait.

Do you seriously think that you will get hastled on this blog for posting a contrary sentence. This blog is predominantly people disagreeing with each other.
Anyway, having only seen the YES! Version of the page and thought it mildly funny if not a tad inappropriate, I can only assume it previously just said "no". Anywho as much as I detest the way the whole thing was portrayed in the media I mostly think that by being so anti it you become jut as bad as those who are sensationalizing it. That's a mostly vague sentence so don't read too much into it. Charlie booker in his new prog newswipe makes this point. Which I agree with. People have gone so far our of their way to show how they don't like her or what she's doing that they forget that she's a mother and that her death is actually not something to be ridiculed. I feel I may be writing in the wrong tense there. Anyway it also goes the other way where people are upset they have lost a form of entertainment, more than they are about her, that they react greater than is maybe necessery. I dunno really all rather strangeto be honest I thought the same about diane's death. She was a good person, but why are people who didn't know her personally upset? Kinda different with jade, but then it's a different group of people who ate reacting.
