Try this at home, kids

1. Sit in a chair

2. Raise your right foot off the floor

3. Begin making clockwise circles with your foot

4. Hold your right arm in front of you

5. While still rotating your ankle, try to draw a number '6' in the air with your right hand

6. Watch as your foot changes direction.

I can't guarantee that it will work for everyone, but for me, it's pretty much perfect - I can't do the two actions at once...

I seem to be able to do the two actions independently, could be wrong though.

Did you mean anti-clockwise? I can do both things at once fine...

Did I just look like an idiot over the internet? Was this a test to see how many people would be dumb enough to try? Cos hey, ya got me.

Hey, I don't know what's wrong with you freaks, it works for me. Could depend on how you write '6's, I guess. The point is to try to move your finger anti-clockwise while your foot is moving clockwise.

My foot swaps direction pretty much every time.

I'm left-handed, so I possibly write my sixes the other way round. I certainly write ticks the opposite way round from right-handed people...
